why is that always to me an ad set after 4.5 o 7 days starts underporforming and doesnt bring any more sales? what to do in this situation?
I have always considered the following option but I am not sure which is correct:

1- stop original ad set and duplicate
2- stop for couple of hours
3- change the creative

Hello my friend! Ads may start underperforming for a variety of reasons, and it's key to understand why this is happening before deciding on the right course of action. Here are some potential reasons and actions you could take:
  • Audience Fatigue: Your audience may have grown tired of seeing the same ad. If you believe this is the case, you could test a new creative or messaging to see if it revives interest.
  • Ad Frequency: If your ads are being shown too often to the same people, this could cause them to start ignoring your ads (or worse, get annoyed by them). Look at your ad frequency in your campaign data. If it's too high, you could expand your audience or reduce your budget to decrease ad frequency.

  • Ad Frequency: If your ads are being shown too often to the same people, this could cause them to start ignoring your ads (or worse, get annoyed by them). Look at your ad frequency in your campaign data. If it's too high, you could expand your audience or reduce your budget to decrease ad frequency.
  • Budget Exhaustion: In some cases, you might have exhausted the most likely segment of your audience. This tends to happen when you have a small audience and a relatively large ad spend.
  • Ad Optimization Goal: Your campaign goal might be saturated. For example, if your optimization goal was landing page views and all the people likely to click have already done so, then it might be time to change the optimization goal.
  • Market Saturation: It might be that most people who were going to convert on your ad have already done so. You might need to find new audiences to target or consider retargeting to those who engaged but didn't convert.
As to your proposed solutions, here are my comments:
  • Stop original ad set and duplicate: This is a common strategy. By duplicating the ad set, you "reset" Facebook's learning phase and it can start re-optimizing. If you notice a consistent pattern of ad sets failing after a few days, this could be a viable strategy.
  • Stop for a couple of hours: This could help if you believe your audience is experiencing ad fatigue. Just keep in mind that when you restart, the ad set will enter the "learning phase" again, which could temporarily affect its performance.
  • Change the creative: This could work if your audience is experiencing ad fatigue. A new creative can bring fresh interest to your ad.
It's worthwhile noting that there's no one-size-fits-all solution. You'll often need to experiment to see what works best for your particular situation. Keep testing different creatives, audiences, and strategies to see what drives the best results. Also, carefully analyse your user funnel and try to understand at which step users start to drop off, as this can provide valuable insights for improvements.
